Travels: Matinao Inland Resort Escapade

August 14, 2015 - Friday and were on a split day off that week. I went to Tagum City to come and visit my family. On that that day I brought home a 1.8 liter Kyowa Rice cooker with steamer that I won at work. My mother and father thanked me for it. I also gave them two boxes of Krispy Kreme
assorted doughnuts.  I also bought them a box of pizza which they enjoyed eating. Nothing really compares to see the smile on the faces of your old folks.

I was so stressed that week, The pot money at work is P100,000 and I only contributed a few sales. I need to destress. So I spent my day off, alone. Soul searching. I watched "Attack on Titan" with front row tickets at Gaisano Mall Tagum seating on a Lazy Boy. Then I visited a local beach ate a bit of seafood but I still feel stressed.

I went to the Tagum City Terminal, to find a ride for an Inland resort called Matinao, I paid P55.00 for a 30 minute ride from Tagum City to New Cortez, New Corella Davao del Norte. The roads were under construction, bumpy but lo and behold when I arrived at the place it was really worth it. The entrance fee was pretty cheap, P35.00 so I paid for my entrance and started to take pictures around the place. I spent the rest of the day taking pictures

The place was spacious, the staff were accommodating, when you go to the place you have to make sure to bring a lot of food and gas if you have your own ride because it was pretty far from the main city. You will pass some rice fields on your way there. Nothing compares to the smell of fresh air.

They have a 7 feet pool, 2 feet pool with slides for children, lots of rooms and cottages for you to spend the night. Their cottage and room rates ranges from. P350, P1000, P1500 and P3000. They have open cottages and air-conditioned rooms.

Videoke machines are situated on different spots of the area. There is a canteen where you can buy meals and drinks.

In the evening you will hear the mother nature around you, You will be greeted by a thick fog, not smog, when you wake up in the morning. If their is one thing that I could describe my stay there that is relieved.
